About Us

I started sewing at the age of 5 and have been passionate about making clothing as long as I can remember. Early on I started making clothes for dolls and friends around the block. In my hometown of Lincoln, CA there wasn’t much to do other than listen to music, go to Folsom Lake on the hot August nights, and dream of getting out that town! They used to say “Don’t blink or you’ll miss it!” Even as a kid I knew that was my calling for bigger things.

As a teenager, when we moved to Mount Shasta, CA, I was lucky enough to DJ at the local small town radio station. This is where I came up with and developed the concept of designing along side the music. I remember getting caught digging through old boxes of records when I was supposed to be watching over the church programs on Sunday mornings. I had no interest in the music I was supposed to be playing, I just wanted to know what was buried deep in those boxes and old sound rooms.

Atomic Aces was started in 1997 by accident when I made a shirt for a good friend in a L.A. rockabilly band. There was so much attention over that one shirt that I knew I had found my calling. I started designing with one thing in mind, Rock n' Roll. That, combined with all the other things I dig like hot rods, vintage clothing, decor and anything eclectic finished up the recipe for Atomic Aces.

In the years since Atomic Aces began, I have been fortunate enough to travel all over the U.S. and world. While living in Texas, I met the person that has become my soul mate and partner, Rodney. Now we work together on all of our lines from concept to production.

At Atomic Aces, it is our mission to make high quality clothing with attention to fine craftsmanship at affordable prices. We have our hands in every thing from the initial concept sketches, to designing all our original embroideries that go into our retro inspired lines. We are not mass producers of apparel but specialist and craftsmen that care about what we've got out there with our name on it.
